Problem

Allē Flash was feeling out of date and left behind with a recent rebrand effort. Combined with falling redemption metrics and excitement, it needed a visual refresh.

Solution

Visual rebrand of the Flash experience that highlights the individual brands as the hero and keeps user excitement by introducing motion design.

Result

Increased excitement around Flash and expected increase of both the Flash Scan Rate and Offer Redemption Rate.

After

Allē recently underwent a rebranding initiative that resulted in a visual overhaul of the app. Allē Flash was notably left out of this initiative, leaving a large gap in the visual design of our most important product.

Important Context: Rebrand

I have always loved how much fun AirBnB has with their visual design. Because these gift cards are entirely virtual, why couldn’t they be videos?

When you add your drivers license to your phone, it makes a delightful little parallax effect. Small, but impactful.

These little badges make earning awards so much more valuable. Could we do something similar with Flash offers?

Initial Sketches

After doing some research internally, we found that our brand creative teams have these beautiful videos originally created for social content. However, there was no restriction against us using these in product.

Opportunity

Ultimately, these are the designs that went to development. They do a fantastic job of showcasing the product you won and creating excitement around the offer.
